High school can be an intense and emotionally charged period. In this program, you’ll explore what emotions are, how they function, and the important role they play in your life. You’ll learn to recognize when emotions may be impacting your daily life and when it’s time to seek extra support. This program also introduces practical emotional regulation techniques to help you navigate overwhelming feelings. After each session, you’ll receive small, personalized tasks to reinforce what you’ve learned and apply it to your daily experiences. (3 sessions | 50 minutes each)

- Session 1: Understand the basics of emotions—what they are, why we have them, and how they affect us.
- Session 2: Learn to recognize and describe your emotions in everyday situations. Identify contexts where emotions tend to intensify and notice related behavioral patterns.
- Session 3: Practice essential skills to help manage intense emotions. Learn when to seek additional support if emotions become too overwhelming.

 

2. Managing Anxiety and Stress

High school brings a whirlwind of decisions, changes, and responsibilities that can make stress and anxiety common challenges. While these feelings are normal, they can sometimes become overwhelming, making it harder to accomplish tasks and reach your goals. This program is designed to help you manage anxiety and stress so they become tools for growth rather than obstacles. Each session offers practical strategies to integrate into your daily life, with personalized exercises to help you apply what you’ve learned. (6 sessions | 50 minutes each)

- Session 1: Understand the basics of anxiety and related emotions—why we experience them and how they affect us.
- Session 2: Learn to identify anxiety and other emotions in your daily routine. Recognize situations that increase your anxiety and notice common thought and behavior patterns.
- Session 3: Identify behaviors and thoughts linked to anxiety and explore strategies to manage them. Begin learning techniques to manage anxious thoughts.
- Session 4: Continue building skills to handle anxious thoughts and regain control.
- Session 5: Replace behaviors that increase stress with positive alternatives. Learn problem-solving skills to help manage difficult emotions.
- Session 6: Incorporate wellness practices to balance anxiety and stress, supporting a healthier, more balanced lifestyle.
